Exsolution in La and Ni co-doped strontium titanate: a suitable anode for running SOFCs on ammonia as alternative fuel

Ammonia exhibits interesting features as fuel to feed Solid Oxide Fuel Cell. Herein, Ni and La co-doped strontium titanate was synthetized using wet chemistry route. nanoparticles emerged via exsolution in reducing environment decorate the surface. X-Ray Diffraction measurements perovskite structure also preserved after exsolution, expected. H 2 – Temperature Programmed Reduction highlights great resistance of titanates anode operation condition. conversion nitrogen hydrogen were investigated by catalytic tests. It begins decompose at 560°C full yield achieved 720°C. Electrochemical recorded 800°C 10% ammonia Ar. They analysed though model equivalent circuit two processes attributed. Results certify strongly enhances oxidation total polarisation approaches one hydrogen.
